I’m thankful for knowing when to let go and be done with something.
Like marginally functioning friendships on respirators, and soul-sucking jobs that lead nowhere.
I’m glad that when I’d get caught in toxic work situations, I was never afraid to quit when it was already necessary to do so.
I know it’s always a struggle to know when something has run its course or not. On one point, what if you’re letting go a little too early? And yet what if you’re holding on for far too long?
Sometimes we already know something to be true in our hearts and minds, but refuse to acknowledge it.
As a former classmate said,
“Let go of what doesn’t serve you anymore. What is for you will never pass you.”
